Turn Your PDFs, Slides and Notes Into an Interactive Course

Upload a PDF, Word file, slides or your notes. Brixus finds the chapters, writes a course from your material with practice questions, key terms and flashcards, and shows you the price before anything is generated.

Creating a course works on a laptop or desktop computer: open brixus.eu there to upload your material.

From Your Document to a Course

Three steps, and you stay in control of every one of them.

  1. 1

    Upload your material

A PDF, Word file, PowerPoint deck, web page, Markdown or plain text: lecture notes, a handbook, a syllabus you wrote. Bookmarks and headings help, but Brixus finds the chapters without them.

  2. 2

    Check the chapters

Rename, reorder, merge or remove any section before a single page is written. The estimated price sits next to your balance, so there are no surprises.

  3. 3

    Study it

Every page comes with questions in the reading, key terms that become flashcards, and practice sessions that bring your mistakes back until you get them right.

Made From What You Give It

Written from your material

Each page is written from its own section of your document, so the course covers what your material covers. Every word, question and key term stays editable.

No bookmarks or headings needed

A plain PDF or a slide deck works too: Brixus reads the layout, proposes chapters and sections, and lets you fix them. Scanned documents need text recognition (OCR) first.

About $1 for a 50-page course

Pages cost about 2 cents each on the default model. You see the estimate before anything is generated, top up from $5, and Brixus never generates on credit.

You decide about training

The cheapest model is Meta’s Contributor tier, which may use your document to improve Meta’s models; you agree to that per upload. Pick another model and your document is never used for training.

Publish and sell

Keep It for Yourself, or Sell It

Most courses are made to study from. When yours is good enough to share, publish it with a price and Brixus handles the rest.

  • Start private: only you can open it until you decide otherwise.
  • Set your own price, discounts and promo codes; Brixus takes care of payment and VAT.
  • Brixus keeps 15% plus 30 cents per sale; you withdraw the rest through Stripe.
  • Before a course goes public you confirm that you have the right to publish its material.

Questions About Creating a Course

What can I upload?

PDF, Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), HTML, Markdown and plain text files of up to 50 MB, and up to 150 pages per course. Lecture notes, handbooks, slide decks and study guides all work.

Does my document need bookmarks or headings?

No. They help when they are there, but Brixus can find the chapters of a document without them and shows them to you to rename, merge or reorder before anything is generated. A scanned PDF has no text to read, so run text recognition (OCR) on it first.

How much does it cost?

You pay per page with prepaid AI credits, topped up from $5. On the default model a page costs about 2 cents, so a 50-page course comes to about $1; the other models cost about 3 to 11 cents a page. Uploading and checking the chapters is free, you see the estimate before you start, and unused credit can be refunded.

Is my document used to train AI?

Only if you choose the default, cheapest model: Meta’s Contributor tier may use what it is sent to improve its models, and you tick a box to agree to that for each upload. Every other model never trains on your document. See the privacy statement for the details.

Can I change what Brixus writes?

Yes. A generated course is an ordinary Brixus book in the editor: you can rewrite pages, fix or add questions, edit key terms and add chapters, alone or with collaborators. AI makes mistakes, so read your course through before you rely on it.

Can I sell my course?

Yes, if you have the right to publish the material. Keep it private to study it yourself, or publish it with a price: Brixus handles payment and VAT, keeps 15% plus 30 cents per sale, and you withdraw your earnings through Stripe.

Can I create a course on my phone?

Creating a course works on a laptop or desktop computer. Studying it works on any screen, including the browser on your phone or tablet.

Bring your own material

Uploading and checking the chapters is free. You only pay for the pages Brixus writes, from about 2 cents each.
